Kathryn Gilreath, ANP-BC
Adult Nurse Practitioner

 

Kathy Gilreath Wound Care Clinic SavannahKathy has been a practicing nurse practitioner for over nine years.  Before joining the team at Wound Care Clinic – ESU in July 2009, she practiced in the neurological field.  As a Savannah native, Kathy continued her higher education at Armstrong Atlantic State University, where she earned her BSN from in 1999, and her MSN in 2002.

Kathy and her husband Scott have two sons, Noah and Aiden, who keep them very busy.  A desire to spend more time with her boys led Kathy to leave her full time practice to job share here at the Wound Care Clinic – ESU.  The flexible, part time schedule at the clinic enables her to truly have her cake and eat it too!

Some of Kathy’s hobbies include reading, hiking, and snorkeling.

 

Marci Woo-Sheffield, FNP-BC
Family Nurse Practitioner

Marci Woo Sheffield Wound Care Clinic SavannahMarci is a Savannah Native and Savannah Christian Preparatory class of ’82 alumni.  She attended Armstrong Atlantic State University where she earned an Associate degree of Science in Respiratory Therapy in 1986. While working on her BSN, she was employed as a Respiratory Therapist at St. Joseph’s Hospital and then at Memorial Medical Center until 1992, when she completed her nursing degree, then  served as a Medical-Surgical-Trauma Nurse at Memorial.

After earning her MSN from Georgia Southern University in 1996, Marci practiced as a full time Family Nurse Practitioner until she and her husband Bear welcomed their oldest son, Patrick, in 2004.  Patrick became Big Brother to Nicholas in 2006.

Marci joined the Wound Care Clinic – ESU in 2009 where she enjoys working with patients across the age spectrum.  “We have the best staff I have ever worked with and I am very proud to be a part of this team!”

Marci enjoys reading, traveling, volunteering, and being an active parishioner at Blessed Sacrament Church.

 

Kimberly Carter, MSPT
Physical Therapist

Kimberly Carter Wound Care Clinic SavannahKim has been working as a physical therapist at Wound Care Clinic-ESU since she moved to Savannah with her son, Aidan two years ago.

She holds a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin and is a graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida, where she received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2005.

Kim has been in the medical field since 1984 and has particular experience working with adults with developmental disabilities, providing positioning and seating assessments and home health care. Kim enjoys reading, writing poetry and children’s stories and traveling with her family. She has a special interest in wound care and lymphedema therapy.

She will complete training and become certified in Manual Lymph Drainage and Complete Decongestive Therapy (MLD/CDT) in October 2011. “I feel lucky to be part of this team at Wound Care Clinic-ESU that shares an amazing dedication and affinity to their extraordinary patients.”

 

Tonya Hillis
Office Manager

Tonya HillisTonya has been with the Wound Care Clinic – ESU since 2008, where she serves as the office manager and the director of sales and marketing.   Because wound care is such a commitment, Tonya believes it’s important for patients to know the integrity of their care is the first priority, so she works diligently to ensure patients have the assurance they are important, respected, and will receive the best wound care available.

A Savannah area native, Tonya was educated at Armstrong Atlantic State University, where she studied choral music and English. She and her husband Jay have three sons, Jordan, Drew, and Chase.  They also have an inherited daughter, Jordan’s wife, Bailey.   The Hillis’ enjoy time together with their family boating, traveling, and spending time in the kitchen savoring Jay’s fabulous cooking!

 

Paula Kreissler
President and CEO

Paula Kreissler President Wound Care Clinic Savannah PoolerPaula is the President and CEO of Wound Care Clinic – ESU, Inc. in Savannah, GA. Founded in 2005, the clinic specializes in healing chronic and acute non-healing wounds using innovative and standard therapies such as electrical stimulation and ultrasound. Paula is currently Co-Chair of the Savannah Food Policy Council, Chair of the Nutrition Committee for Healthy Savannah, and is on the board of Healthy Savannah. She is the immediate past Chair of the Healthy Savannah Steering Committee and is the immediate past President of Buy Local Savannah. From 2006-2009 she chaired the Community Leadership Board of the Savannah Chapter of the American Diabetes Association.

In 2008 Paula received the Top Ten Working Women’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award by A Working Women In Need (AWWIN), an organization dedicated to supporting single working women. Wound Care Clinic won the 2008 Small Business of the Year Award by the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce and was awarded the 2007 Savannah Small Business Chamber’s award for New and Emerging Small Businesses.

Paula graduated from Concordia University and is a licensed CPA. She spent the first 25 years of her career at FedEx, primarily in operations management in New Orleans and Tampa Bay. She credits her success in business to her compassionate and very dedicated staff at Wound Care Clinic.
